Privacy policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
In short: I collect only what you type into the form and use it solely to reply. I also keep anonymous visit statistics, without cookies. The details required by the GDPR are below.
Who is responsible for your data
The controller of your personal data is Dominik Hardek, a private individual who runs this site.
For anything related to your data, write through the contact form on the home page.
What data I collect
I collect only the data you provide in the contact form, plus the technical data needed for the site to work:
- your email address, the content of your message and a link, if you provide one
- your IP address, browser information and the time the form was sent, saved automatically on submission
- standard server logs (IP address, time and the address of the page visited), kept by the hosting provider
Why and on what legal basis
- replying to your inquiry and agreeing on the scope of a possible collaboration: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request before entering into a contract) and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (my legitimate interest, which is handling correspondence)
- protecting the form against spam and keeping the site running: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR
- establishing, exercising or defending legal claims if we end up working together: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR
Who I share data with
I do not sell your data or pass it to anyone for marketing purposes. It is accessible only to the service providers without which the site and the correspondence could not work:
- Netlify, Inc. (United States): hosting of the site and handling of the contact form. Your message goes to Netlify's system and from there to my email inbox
- my email provider
Netlify is based in the United States, so data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area. This takes place under a data processing agreement that is part of Netlify's terms, with the safeguards required by the GDPR.
How long I keep data
I keep messages for as long as the correspondence lasts. If we do not end up working together, I delete them no later than 12 months after our last contact.
If we do work together, I keep the data for the duration of the collaboration, then until the limitation period for claims expires and for as long as tax regulations require.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your data and receive a copy of it
- have your data corrected
- have your data erased
- restrict processing
- data portability
- object to processing based on legitimate interest
To exercise these rights, a message is enough. You can also lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office in Poland (UODO, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw) or with the supervisory authority in your own country.
Do you have to provide data
Providing data is voluntary. Without an email address, however, I will not be able to reply.
Visit statistics and cookies
This site does not use cookies and does not store anything on your device. Fonts and scripts are served from the same domain, with no external tracking or analytics services.
I keep my own anonymous visit statistics. I count visits to the site, the address of the page someone came from, the type of device (phone, tablet, computer) and which parts of the page were viewed and clicked.
In the statistics I do not store your IP address or browser data, and I do not assign a persistent identifier. This makes it impossible to identify a specific person or to link separate visits together. The data is kept on the hosting provider's servers.
The language version of the site is chosen based on the country you connect from. The hosting provider determines the country from your IP address, and I do not store this information.
I do not profile visitors or make automated decisions about them.
Links to other services
The site links to external services, including Instagram, LinkedIn and my projects. Once you go to those sites, their own privacy rules apply.
Changes
If the way I process data changes, I will update this page and the date at the top.
